横綱（よこづな）yokozuna　 

大おお相撲すもうは、２にか月げつに１回いっかい、年ねんに６回ろっかい行おこなわれています。

幕内まくうちのうち、一番強いちばんつよいのが横綱よこづなです。横綱よこづなは、成績せいせきが悪わるくても、一いち度ど横綱よこづなになると、下したの地ち位いにさがりません。

その代かわり、負まけが続つづいたり、体力たいりょくがなくなったりすると、引退いんたいするしかありません。

とても厳きびしい地ち位いです。土俵どひょうだけでなく、土俵どひょうの外そとでも品ひんのある行動こうどうが求もとめられます。

横綱よこづなは、大関おおぜきの地ち位いにいて、2場ば所しょで連続優れんぞくゆう勝しょうするとなることができることが多おおいです。

取組とりくみの前まえに、華はなやかな土俵どひょう入いりをすることができるのも、横綱よこづなの特権とっけんです。

きれいな化粧けしょうまわしをしめて、「露払つゆはらい」と「太た刀ち持もち」を従したがえて、穀物こくもつが豊ゆたかに実みのることを祈いのる意い味みも込こめて相撲すもうの基き本ほんの型かたを演えんじます。

土俵どひょう入いりの方法ほうほうは、２通ふたとおりあります。

「不知火しらぬい型がた」は、土俵どひょうで腰こしを落おとしながら両足りょうてで少すこしずつ前まえに出でる時ときに、両手りょうてを斜ななめ前まえに出だします。

「雲竜うんりゅう型」は、前まえに出でる時ときに、左手ひだりてを脇腹わきばらにつけます。

現在げんざいいる横綱よこづなは、照てるノの冨ふ士じさん一人ひとりだけです。

照てるノの冨ふ士じさんの土俵どひょう入いりは、不知火しらぬい型がたです。

照てるノの冨ふ士じさんは、モンゴル出身しゅっしんですが、今いまは日に本ほん国籍こくせきを取得しゅとくし、日に本ほん人じんになっています。

yokozuna

Sumo tournaments are held every two months, six times a year.
The yokozuna is the most powerful member of the makuuchi ranks.
Once a yokozuna becomes yokozuna, even if his performance is poor, he does not fall to a lower rank.
However, if a yokozuna loses a lot of matches or loses his physical strength, he has no choice but to retire.
It is a very difficult position. Yokozuna are expected to conduct themselves in a dignified manner not only in the ring but also outside the ring.
Yokozuna is often achieved by winning two championships in a row while holding the rank of ozeki.
Yokozuna are also privileged to perform a spectacular ring-entering ceremony before each bout.
Wearing a beautiful make-up mawashi and accompanied by a dewman and sword-bearer, the yokozuna performs the basic forms of sumo, which are meant to pray for an abundant harvest of grain.
There are two ways to enter the ring.
In the Shiranui-kata, the wrestlers step forward slightly with both feet, holding their hands out diagonally in front of them as they step down in the ring.
In the “unryu kata,” the yokozuna puts his left hand on his side as he steps forward.
There is currently only one yokozuna, Terunofuji, who is the only yokozuna in the world.
Terunofuji enters the ring in the shiranui style.
Terunofuji was born in Mongolia, but he is now a Japanese citizen.
