パリオリンピック開会式（かいかいしき）　　Paris Olympics Opening Ceremony

 

　フランスの7月しちがつ26日にち午後ごご7時半しちじはんから、パリでオリンピックの開会式かいかいしきが始はじまりました。日本にほんとフランスには、7時間しちじかんの時差じさありますので、日本にほんの時間じかんでは、27日にち午前ごぜん２時にじ半はんから始はじまりました。

　今回こんかいのパリオリンピックでは、フランスの中心部ちゅうしんぶを流ながれるセーヌ川がわが会場かいじょうです。選手せんしゅたちは、８５隻せきの船ふねに乗のって入場にゅうじょうします。選手せんしゅたちは、船ふねに乗のって６キロメートルほどを進すすみ、トロカデロ広場ひろばに向むかいます。

　船ふねの上うえでは、男女だんじょ一人ひとりずつの旗手きしゅの選手せんしゅが交代こうたいで大おおきな国旗こっきを持もちます。他たの選せん手しゅたちは、川沿かわぞいにいる人々ひとびとに向むけて、小ちいさな国旗こっきや手てを振ふります。

　開会式かいかいしきのテレビ映像えいぞうでは、船ふねに乗のる選手せんしゅを映うつすだけでなく、歌うたや踊おどりや映像えいぞうなどの様々さまざまなショーが4時間よじかんにわたって映うつし出だされていました。

　最初さいしょに登場とうじょうしたのは、会場かいじょうを間違まちがえたコメディアンで、手てには聖火せいかを持っていました。その後ご、サッカーで有名ゆうめいなジダン選手せんしゅや子こどもたちなど、次々つぎつぎに聖火せいかを引ひきつぎ進すすんでいきます。

　フレンチカンカンの踊おどりが見みられたり、ルーブル美術館びじゅつかんの絵えから飛とび出だした人物じんぶつが川かわから現あらわれたり、メダル作づくりの様子ようすが映うつし出だされたりしました。今回こんかいのメダルには、エッフェル塔とうを改修かいしゅうしたときに出でた金属きんぞくの一部いちぶが使つかわれています。

　フランスで過去かこにメダルを取とった選手せんしゅが、次々つぎつぎに聖火せいかを運はこび、聖火せいか台だいに火ひが灯ともされました。最後さいごに歌うたを歌うたったのは、セリーヌ・ディオンさんです。セリーヌさんは、病気びょうきで歌うたうことを休やすんでいましたが、見事みごとな歌うたをパリの夜空よぞらに響ひびかせました。

　あいにく、雨あめの中なかになってしまいましたが、パリオリンピックを始はじめるにふさわしい、素晴すばらしい開会式かいかいしきが、このようにして行おこなわれました。

Paris Olympics Opening Ceremony

　The opening ceremony of the Olympics started at 7:30 p.m. on July 26 in Paris, France.
　Since there is a seven-hour time difference between Japan and France, the ceremony started at 2:30 a.m. on July 27 in Japan time.

　The venue for this year’s Paris Olympics was the Seine River, which runs through the center of France. The athletes will enter on 85 boats. The athletes will travel 6 kilometers on the boats to the Trocadéro square.

　On the boats, flag bearers, one male and one female, take turns carrying a large flag. The other athletes wave smaller flags and hands to the people along the river.

　Television footage of the opening ceremony showed not only the athletes on the boats, but also a variety of shows, including songs and videos, that ran for four hours.

　First up was a comedian who had the wrong venue and was holding a torch in his hand. After that, the torch was passed on and advanced one after another, including the famous soccer player Zidane and children.

　French cancan dances could be seen, figures from paintings in the Louvre Museum emerged from the river, and medals were shown being made. Some of the medals this time were made from some of the metal from the renovation of the Eiffel Tower.

　Athletes who had won medals in the past in France carried the torch one after another and lit the torch stand. The last person to perform a song was Celine Dion. Although she had taken a break from singing due to illness, she sang beautifully and echoed in the night sky of Paris.

　Unfortunately, it was raining, but this was a wonderful opening ceremony to start the Paris Olympics.
