麻雀（マージャン）Mahjong

　麻雀マージャンは、中国ちゅうごくで作つくられたゲームのひとつです。

　４人よにんで対戦たいせんする遊あそびです。

　正方形せいほうけいのテーブルのそれぞれ1辺いっぺんに１人ひとりずつ座すわります。

　牌パイと呼よばれる駒こまを使つかって遊あそびます。

　牌パイの種類しゅるいは全ぜん部ぶで34種類しゅるいあります。3種類さんしゅるいの1から9までの牌パイと7つの漢かん字じの牌パイです。

　牌パイは同おなじ牌パイが4枚よんまいずつあり、全ぜん部ぶで136枚まいの牌パイを使つかいます。

　この牌パイを遊あそぶ人ひとがかき混まぜ、どの牌パイかわからないように裏返うらがえしに2段にだんに並ならべます。

　最初さいしょに、順番じゅんばんに13枚まいずつの牌パイを取とります。

　次つぎに、残のこった牌パイを順番じゅんばんに1枚いちまいずつ取とって捨すててをくりかえします。牌パイを入いれ替かえたりして、すべての牌パイがなくなるまでに、14枚まいの完成形かんせいけいを作つくるゲームです。

　完成形かんせいけいはとてもたくさんあります。基き本形ほんけいは、3枚4組さんまいよんくみと2枚1組にまいひとくみを作つくります。

　3枚さんまいずつのまとまりを面子メンツといいます。同おなじ牌パイを集あつめたり、同おなじ種類しゅるいで1ひとつずつ数すう字じが違ちがっている牌パイを集あつめたりします。

　残のこり2枚にまいの牌パイは同おなじ牌パイにします。この2枚にまいを頭あたまや雀頭ジャントウということがあります。

　コンピューターなどを使つかうと一人ひとりで遊あそぶこともできます。

Mahjong

　Mahjong is a game created in China.

　It is played by four players.

　One person sits on each side of a square table.

　The game is played with pieces called tiles.

　There are a total of 34 types of tiles: 3 types of tiles numbered 1 to 9 and 7 Chinese character tiles.

　There are four identical tiles, for a total of 136 tiles.

　The tiles are stirred by the player and arranged in two rows, face down, so that it is impossible to tell which tile is which.

　First, 13 tiles are taken in turn.

　Then, the remaining tiles are repeatedly taken and discarded one by one in turn. The game is played by replacing the tiles, and by the time all the tiles have been dealt out, 14 tiles have been used to make a completed hand.

　There are so many possible forms. The basic form is to make 4 sets of 3 cards and 1 set of 2 cards.

　Each group of three tiles is called a Ments. The same tiles are gathered together, or tiles of the same type but with different numbers one by one.

　The remaining two tiles are the same. These two tiles are sometimes referred to as the head or jankutou.

　The game can also be played by one person using a computer.
