大相撲の番付（おおずもうのばんづけ）　

大おお相撲すもうは、２にか月げつに１回いっかい、年ねんに６回ろっかい行おこなわれています。

1つの場ば所しょは、１５日間にちかんあります。１日いちにちめを初日しょにち、８日ようかめを中日なかび、15日にちめを千せん秋しゅう楽らくといいます。

幕内まくうちでは、強つよさの順じゅん番ばんで関取せきとりに名な前まえをつけます。

幕内まくうちのうち、一番強いちばんつよいのが横綱よこづなです。横綱よこづなは、成績せいせきが悪わるくても、一いち度ど横綱よこづなになると、下したの地ち位いにさがりません。

その代かわり、負まけが続つづいたり、体力たいりょくがなくなったりすると、引退いんたいするしかありません。

とても厳きびしい地ち位いです。土俵どひょうだけでなく、土俵どひょうの外そとでも品ひんのある行動こうどうが求もとめられます。

横綱よこづなの次つぎに強つよいのが、大関おおぜきです。

大関おおぜきの次つぎに強つよいのが、関脇せきわけです。

関脇せきわけの次つぎに強つよいのが、小結こむすびです。

大関おおぜき、関脇せきわけ、小結こむすびを三役さんやくとよぶことがあります。

大関おおぜきになるためには、関脇せきわけや小結こむすびの地ち位いにいて、その前まえの３つの場ば所しょで、勝かち星ぼしの合計ごうけいが33勝しょう以い上じょうというのが一応いちおうの基準きじゅんになっています。

それ以い外がいの幕内まくうちの力士りきしは、前頭まえがしらという名な前まえです。

大おお相撲すもうの力士りきしの名な前まえと地ち位いを強つよい順じゅん番ばんに書かいた順位表じゅんいひょうのことを番付ばんづけとか番付ばんづけ表ひょうといいます。

日に本ほんでは、この番付ばんづけをまねて、さまざまなものに順位じゅんいをつけて、発表はっぴょうすることが好すきです。

例たとえば、よく売うれたものを番付ばんづけ表ひょうにして発表はっぴょうしています。

Grand Sumo Ranking

Grand Sumo tournaments are held every two months, six times a year.

Each tournament lasts for 15 days, with the first day being the first day, the eighth day being the middle day, and the fifteenth day being the last day of the tournament.

In the makuuchi division, sekitori are named in order of strength.

The yokozuna is the strongest rikishi in the makuuchi division. Once a yokozuna is named yokozuna, he does not fall to a lower rank, even if his performance is poor.

However, if a yokozuna loses a lot of matches or loses his physical strength, he has no choice but to retire.

It is a very difficult position. The next strongest rank after yokozuna is oyokozuna, which is the highest rank in the sumo world.

After yokozuna, ozeki is the next most powerful rank.

After the ozeki, the sekiwake are the next most powerful.

After the sekiwake, the komusubi are the next most powerful.

Ozeki, sekiwake, and komusubi are sometimes referred to as sannyaku.

To become an ozeki, a rikishi must be sekiwake or komusubi and have won a total of 33 or more matches in the three preceding tournaments.

All other makuuchi rikishi are named maegashira.

A ranking chart showing the names and ranks of sumo wrestlers in order of strength is called a banzuke or banzuke chart.

In Japan, people like to imitate this ranking chart by assigning rankings to various items and announcing them.
